RNG (Random Number Generator)

The RNG (Random Number Generator) is the algorithm that determines outcomes in casino games, ensuring each result is random and independent of previous ones. In certified games it is tested by third parties (e.g. eCOGRA, GLI) and bound by the licence.

Round independence is why droughts and hot/cold outcomes have no predictive value. In live-dealer games randomness comes from the physical event (wheel, dice, cards) rather than software, but the independence principle is identical.
